Wilma E Moss

Wilma Elizabeth Moss, 86, of Port Huron, died Sunday, July 6, 2025.

She was born October 30, 1938 in Port Huron to the late William and Violet Briggs. She married James O. Moss on February 27, 1960.

Wilma graduated from Port Huron High School in 1956. She worked for Walker Odle Insurance Company as an underwriter for 25 years prior to working alongside her husband at James Moss and Co. accounting. Wilma enjoyed going to Port Huron Northern football and basketball games to cheer on family. The most important things to Wilma were her family and work.

She is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Bill) Mattison and Kim (Tom) Lees; grandchildren, Will and Abbey Mattison, Dr. Taylor (Eric) Rossow and Thomas (Angel) Lees; great grandson, Cooper James Rossow; siblings, Donna (William) Shurkey and Sharon (Deloy) Hall; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James; and sister, Shirley Frantz.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
