Raymond C Kraus

Raymond Charles Kraus, 72, of Port Huron, died Saturday, July 19, 2025.

He was born October 22, 1952 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Veronica Kraus. He married Karen A. Artman on June 23, 1972 in St. Stephen Catholic Church and were married for 53 years.

Ray was a 1971 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Flint AE32 during Vietnam. His tour of duty included Operation Linebacker I and II. After his service, he was employed with Domtar Paper.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Andria (Bobby) Rose and Renee (Jeffrey) Kraus-Barnes; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Solley-Rose, Lauren Rose and Kaiden Kraus; siblings, Nancy (Howard) Pasco, Mary Kraus, Richard Kraus and Barbara (Dennis) Carrier; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Papineau; and brother, Michael Kraus.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron with military honors conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
