After moving to Lakeport, they became active parishioners at St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. Gerry served on the parish council and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8274, and Past Grand Knight. Together, he and Paula owned and operated the Marysville Subway for 29 years. Gerry was a devoted sports fan who loved the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and especially the U of M Wolverines.
