Jerry A Stewart

Jerry Aldridge Stewart, 90, of Fort Gratiot, died Sunday, November 2, 2025.

He was born June 14, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married Dolores Johnson on April 14, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2000 after 38 years of marriage.

Jerry was very proud of being a Dallas County Judge and felony court magistrate. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. He was educated as a Spiritual Director at Manresa and served Holy Trinity Parish in that capacity. Jerry also volunteered with Blue Water Hospice. He was an avid reader and participated in a book club with his friends. He loved traveling with Dolores throughout the United States.

He is survived by his son, William Stewart; two daughters, Anne Brady and Mary Stewart (Izuru Tokuyama); five grandchildren, Steven Schroeder, Alex Brady, Naomi (Chris) Snarski, Emma Tokuyama and Mia Tokuyama; two great grandchildren, Miles and Poppy Schroeder; brother, Larry (Kaye) Krauss; aunt, Margaret Johnson; cousin, Lloyd (Ashlie) Krauss; and son-in-law, John Brady.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Krauss; and grandmother, Bessie Clift.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Parish.
