Jane A Elliott

Jane Anne Elliott, 97, of Kimball Township, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born January 16, 1928 in Charlevoix, Michigan to the late Glenn and Hazel Jardine. She married George N. Elliott on June 26, 1948 in Harbor Springs. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2023 after 74 years of marriage.

Jane worked in the retail industry for many years and helped open numerous stores in the Port Huron area. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and walking the beach looking for beautiful stones. Jane also enjoyed listening to music and putting puzzles together.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ryan, Richard (Pam) Elliott, Carrie Woodard, Wendy (Gary) McDaid and Kathryn Shirts; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons-in-law, Bob Ryan, Larry Shirts and Mearl Woodard.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
