Katherine Korff

October 6th, 1943 to December 31st, 2025

“Do what you love. Love what you do and enjoy the characters you meet along the way.” The collection of characters gathered will remember and share warm memories of Katherine Korff, who died on December 31, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born a British subject on Canadian Soil and finally holding American citizenship, Katherine was a global citizen without even trying. That global awareness also brought a new perspective to local communities. With her husband, David, they worked with and supported art communities nationally and internationally.

In addition to sharing her love of art with students in public schools, Lambton College, and SC4, Katherine also served as Regional Director and the Educational Director of the Ontario Crafts Council. Known primarily as a silversmith and enamelist, her work is in numerous private collections nationally and internationally. Through her artwork, she continued to be challenged by new materials and approaches.

It was kismet to have shared this journey with her husband and best friend, David Korff (1942-2021), delighting in the warmth and love of son Christopher Korff, daughter Kirsten Korff (Brian Tracy), grandchildren Tyler and Laura Korff, and grandson Liam Tracy.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

As a living Memorial for Katherine and for those you love: Thank a Teacher. Practice Tolerance. Really Listen. Gather Characters.
