Mary Peterson

Mary Karen Peterson, 80, of Port Huron, died Sunday, January 10, 2026.

She was born October 31, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Mary Urban.

Mary was employed as an operator with Michigan Bell Telephone Company for many years. She later worked at Voight’s and Speedway as a cashier. After retirement, she participated in the grandparent program at Cleveland Elementary for three years. Karen loved gardening, going to the park, family time, and walking, especially with her grand-puppies.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Peterson; grandson, Christopher Desmet; and two grand-puppies, Gatsby and Esme.
