Edward B Ward
Edward Blair Ward, 86, of Fort Gratiot, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026.
He was born March 30, 1939 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Blair and Isabel Ward. He married Marilyn Domanski on February 28, 1958 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Roseville.
Edward honorably served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lamar and was also stationed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After his military service, he worked as a truck driver for 30 years before transitioning into business ownership in Marine City. After his retirement, he lived in Richmond and later spent 10 years in Houghton Lake. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn; three children, Edward Ward Jr, Debbie Lucido and Patricia (Vince) Fordt; ten grandchildren Kristy (John), Daniel (Michelle), Anthony, Thomas (Brooke), Brandon, Heather (Brian), Brent (Heather Jean), Shelby (Brett), Ashley (Kevin) and Rachael (Eric); 15 great grandchildren, Arianna, Kendall, Alexa, Corbyn, Brooklyn, Blakley, Cora, Lucas, Henry, Charlie, Koda, Kevin Jr., Kade, Nicole and Sebastian; and great-great-grandson, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Pincomb. He loved them all dearly.
Private graveside services will be held in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
