Kristine Beerbower

May 06, 1970 to January 29, 2026

Kristine Allison (Skinner) Beerbower, 55, of Burtchville Township, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made through her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength will be felt for years to come by those who were blessed to have known her.

She was born on May 6, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan, to Gary and Beverly Skinner. After graduating from Rochester High School in 1988, Kris went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Ferris State University. She held several jobs over the course of her career, and also spent time volunteering in her community. She married the love of her life, Ralph “Butch” Beerbower on June 18, 2005 in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

Kristine was known for her warm heart, great sense of humor, creative spirit, and belief in living life to its fullest. She was always up for an adventure and loved camping, traveling, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Ralph Beerbower; her loving parents, Gary and Beverly Skinner; her sister, Karen (Richard) Zultak; her sisters-in-law, Nancy (Dennis) Harris and Deb Burns; and her brother-in-law Scott (Cyndi) Beerbower. She was a proud and loving aunt to Shannon (Ben) Meyer, Lindsay (Jim) Heaslip, Geri Lynn (John) Brandstater, Chelsea (Jonathan) Barquette, Jody Harris, Jason (Myra) Harris, Jacob Beerbower, John Beerbower, Sarah Zultak, and Megan Zultak; and great-aunt to Jackson Meyer, Wesley Meyer, Nora Bassette, Maxine Bassette, Owen Brandstater, Hannah Brandstater, Ellen Harris, Calvin Harris, and Desarae Harris.

Kris lived her life with positivity, even during her most difficult times. She was a bright light to others, spreading kindness, love, and unconditional support. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, and by the many friends she considered family.

A memorial service honoring Kristine’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bruce Clark and Pastor Sergio Gonzalez will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-City Nutrition or Blue Water Recovery and Outreach Center.
