Sheila K Corp
Sheila Kay Corp, 63, of Port Huron, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 12, 2026.
She was born January 7, 1963 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to the late Neil and Marjorie Ainsworth. She married James Corp on June 24, 1995 in St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Sheila dedicated 17 years as a financial aid officer with St. Clair County Community College. Outside of her career, she enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and card making. Sheila also enjoyed traveling, with some of her favorite places being Florida, London, California, Oklahoma and Mackinac Island. Above all, Sheila treasured her time spent with friends and family, especially her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren whom she loved and doted on. She was especially positive in handling the many trials of life and was a kidney transplant recipient 23 years ago, receiving that special gift from her sister, Celine.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jim; children, Benjamin (Sabrina) VanderEnde, Cheri (John) Proctor and Jamie Corp (Cody Kersten); grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaden, Charles, Austin, Dakota and Autumn; several great grandchildren; siblings, Kevin (Lori) Ainsworth, Celine (Thomas) Groff and Sean (Miwa) Ainsworth; and many nieces and nephews including, Peter Martha, CJ, Garrett, Haley, Audrey, and Amelia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Darci Ainsworth.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
