Keith R Welsh

Keith Roland Welsh, 69, of Fort Gratiot, died, Thursday, April 23, 2026.

He was born March 17, 1957 in Yale to the late Wayne and Lenora Welsh. He married Michelle Green on November 5, 1983 in Port Huron.

Keith was a 1976 graduate of Port Huron Northen High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as a boiler maker with Dunn Paper for 43 years prior to his retirement. Keith was a true outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing and camping, especially with his kids. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Keith is a member of the Blue Water Sportsman Association. Above all, Keith loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michelle; children, Misty Carmichael, Jennifer Welsh, Tracy (Edward) Respondek, Jason French (Shielynn Sanchez) and Dominic Welsh; 3 grandchildren, George Telegadas, Colton Respondek, and Agustina French; siblings, Ann Jones, Robert Welsh, and Ina Barnes; sister-in-law, Kari Farquhar; a brother-in-law, Robert (Deborah) Green; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers, Duane and Phillip Welsh; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Farquhar, Fred Jones, and Ron Barnes.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in Karrer Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Laurie Wilson will officiate.

Burial will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
