Timothy C "Tim" Alexander

October 18, 1965 to May 14, 2026

Timothy Carl “Tim” Alexander, 60, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in McLaren Port Huron, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was courageous in the face of cancer and never lost his faith in hope.

Tim was born October 18, 1965, to the late Robert and Joan Alexander, and he was one of six boys.

A gifted mechanic with a strong work ethic and a generous spirit, Tim proudly operated Tim’s Auto Repair in Fort Gratiot for the past 16 years. Through his work, he helped countless people in the community and formed lasting friendships with many loyal customers. He always took care of his customers, and people could put their full trust in him. Above all else, Tim’s greatest pride and accomplishment was his family, from his brother and best friend Jamie, to his children and grandchildren his heart was always full of love.

Tim will be greatly missed by his wife of 25 years and best friend, Cheryl “Cheri” Alexander, his eternal sunshine; his children, Kurtis (Emily), Danielle, and Jodi (Bruce); grandchildren, Makaila, Janessa, Chelsie, Caiden, Blake, and Brooklynn; brothers, Jamie (Debbie), Mark, and Shawn; sister-in-law, Sue (Joe); and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers Mike and David.

Private family services have been held. The family sincerely thanks everyone in the community for their condolences, generosity, and the many stories shared in remembrance of Tim.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, and staff members at McLaren Port Huron who cared for Tim with such compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Clark, Dr. Artinian, Dr. Parzen, Dr. Haidar, Dr. Sheet, Dr. Saeed, Dr. Lal, Nurse Practitioner Candy, the ICU staff, and especially Nurse Megan for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Tim and his family.
