Lois I Zmolik

Lois Inez Zmolik, 87, of Port Huron, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

She was born January 8, 1939 in Smiths Creek to the late Lewis and Inez King. She married James J. Zmolik in April of1982 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2015.

Lois worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company and later Grand Trunk Western Railroad. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, traveling and going to garage sales. Above all else, Lois cherished time with her family and friends and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her four children, Larry (Laurie Raube), Thomas (Cheryl), Cathy Himmel and James (Rocky) Zmolik; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Martin, Gloria Totten and Jeannette Thomas; and brother, Paul (Linda) King. She was preceded in death by her sons, John and Joey Zmolik; grandson, Jeffery Himmel; sister, Patricia Schringer; and four brothers, Shirley, Maynard, Bruce and Lewis King.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on SUNDAY, May 24, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, May 26, 2026 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
