Marguerite H. Gutierrez, 95, of Port Huron died Monday, June 11, 2012 in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
She was born April 17, 1917 in Brown City.
Marguerite married Peter “Pete” Gutierrez on November 27, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1996.
Marguerite retired from SC4 as a baker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking and crocheting.
She is survived by her sons, Peter C. (Glenda) Gutierrez, Jr of Glen Burnie, MD and Patrick N. (Debbie) Gutierrez of North Street; grandchildren, Patrick “Neal” Gutierrez, Jr of Knoxville, TN, MaryAnn Gutierrez of Port Huron, Antonio (Jessica) Gutierrez of Port Huron and Brandon Gutierrez of East Lansing; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Hayward and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon John Connors of Holy Trinity Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 4-7 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials in memory of Marguerite may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church
