Linda L Lane

Linda Lou Lane, 75, of St. Clair Township, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

She was born October 18, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Vanda Neal. She married Robert Lane in June 1971 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2020 after 48 years of marriage.

Mrs. Lane was a Bible teacher at New Life Christian Academy for 22 years before her retirement in 2017. Faith was the cornerstone of Linda’s life. She loved studying and teaching the Bible, and was a longtime member of Griswold Street Baptist Church. Linda was a talented church musician for 60 years, most recently playing the piano and organ at Griswold Street.

She is survived by three daughters, Valarie Lane, Bobbie (Paul) Curtis and Laura (Tim) Harrison; two grandsons, Robert and Joshua Harrison; brother, Clayton (Kay) Neal; sister, Julie (Reverend John) Jobe; two sisters-in-law, Sallie (Harold) Baker and Bonnie (Mark) Scheffler; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends including her best friend, Tracie Eveningred. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, George and Valdis Lane.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Linda’s brother-in-law, the Reverend John Jobe will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be Robert, Joshua and Tim Harrison, Paul Curtis, Clayton Neal, and Josiah Jobe.
