Earl L Sheets

Earl Lee Sheets, 98, of Burtchville Township, died Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

He was born November 18, 1927 in Clawson, Michigan to the late William and Ada Sheets. He married Betty J. Steele on November 11, 1950 in Ferndale. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2009 after 59 years of marriage.

Earl honorably served in the U.S. Air Force before beginning his career as a steamfitter. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, feeding the birds and deer, he especially loved fishing. Earl was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his children, Dawn (Raymond) Manceau and Kim (Tom) McKinnie; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren He was preceded in death by four siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Aaron Duve will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeport Cemetery, Burtchville Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church.
