Anthony J "Tony" Bonney

Anthony Joel Bonney, 75, of Marysville, died Saturday, July 11, 2026.

He was born July 6, 1951 in Port Huron to the late Bernard and Wanetah Bonney. He married Terry Day on August 5, 1977 in Port Huron.

Tony worked as an Industrial plumber and welder with Local 98 for many years. He also sold commercial real estate for 10 years, enjoyed golf and drinking beer. Tony was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #11756, Elks Lodge #343 and Rotary Club. He enjoyed traveling, especially yearly trips to Washington D.C.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; step children, Wendy (Dennis) Manter, Renee (Mike) Hinkley, and Michelle (Jeff) Easter; ten grandchildren (his advice to his grandchildren “buy what you need, not what you want”); and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Mike (Linda) Bonney, Tim (Diane) Bonney, and Steve Bonney; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery.
