September 02, 1932 to October 25, 2026

Mary Ellen Anglebrandt, 94, of Port Huron, died Sunday, October 25, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her family.

She was born September 2, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Fred and Pearl Black. She married Morris “Red” Anglebrandt on February 4, 1955. He died November 4, 1986.

She appreciated life's simple pleasures, including listening and singing along to music, spending time with her family and making sure the day ended with watching and answering the questions presented on Jeopardy!

She is survived by two daughters, Denise (Rod) Weitzel and Kathy (Jeff) Pierce; son-in-law, Kenneth Wiczorek; four grandchildren, Kelly (Max) Cook, Kevin (Brittney) Pierce, Steven Pierce and Hayley Weitzel; and seven great-grandchildren, Emma and Rylan Cook, Addisyn and Haydyn Nielsen, Raelynn and Charlotte Pierce and Apollo Harman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Red” Anglebrandt; daughter, Karen Wiczorek; two sisters, Leah Crorey and Lois Ludy; and two brothers, Fred and Donald Black.

To honor Mary Ellen’s wishes, a private family service has taken place.

Mary Ellen's family would like to express their deep appreciation for the caring and compassion that the staff of Lakeshore Woods has shown to their mother. They are blessed to know how much she meant to each of you.
