Gary C Rudolph

Gary C. Rudolph, 71, died Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was a much loved husband, father and grandfather.
He was proud of his 22-year military career as a radar-man operations specialist in the U. S. Navy. The pinnacle of his career was becoming a Chief Petty Officer in 1972. He served three tours in the Vietnam War.
In retirement he was a civil war re-enactor, volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol and served as an instructor on the U.S.N.S.C.S. Greyfox. An avid RV’er, he visited all 50 states and 71 countries, the last being a trip to Germany this June. He enjoyed reading, walking, was a lifelong 49’er fan and NASCAR follower.
Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda and two daughters, Lisa (Kevin) DeGroot and Paige (Darrin) Hughes, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Kess.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the U. S. Coast Guard Station, 2800 Omar St, Port Huron.
Memorials for Gary may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
