Guadalupe L Vicencio

Guadalupe L. Vicencio, Sr. 81, of Port Huron died October 14, 2012 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a short illness.

He was born December 12, 1930 in Weslaco, TX, son of the late Eusebio Vicencio and Juana Lopez Vicencio. Guadalupe married Mary M. Garcia on December 11, 1992 in Port Huron.

He was employed with Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1993. Guadalupe was a member of the Latin American Club. He also loved to play Keno and spend time with all of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Vicencio; children, Gloria (John) Torrez of Winter Garden, FL, Mary Delia (Eugene) Garza of Gaylord, Lupe (Donna) Vicencio II of Port Huron, Norma Vicencio of Marysville, Cecilia (Tony) Schreiber of Lexington, Lidia Torrez of Marysville, Hilda (Karl) Livingston of Ft. Gratiot, Jaunita “Jane” Vicencio (John Scott); step-children, Bill Minnie of Washington, Carol Minnie of Port Huron and Lisa (Randy) Green; grandchildren, John (Evette) Torrez, Carina (Danny) Dumeng, Veronica Vicencio, Lupe (Lindsey) Vicencio III, Judah (Carolyn) Vicencio, Jose (Kate) Sanchez, Mario (Nikki) Vicencio, Celina Schreiber, Matthew Schreiber, Tara (Juan) Vicencio, Casey (Casey) Livingston, Corey (Alana) Livingston, Jacqulyn Vicencio, Jillian Vicencio, Kathy Minnie, Laura Minnie, Robert Minnie, Chelsey Green, Jessie Green, Melina Green, Isabella Green and Lexi Green; several great grandchildren; brothers, Inez Vicencio of Port Huron and John Vicencio of California.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Vicencio, brothers, Simon Vicencio, Condido Vicencio and son-in-law Gilbert Torrez.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

Funeral services will take place 12 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph A. Gagnon will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mario Vicencio, Jose Vicencio, Lupe Vicencio, Casey Livingston, Corey Livingston, Matthew Schreiber, Jesse Green, Judah Vicencio and honorary pallbearer John Torrez IV.

Memorials for Guadalupe can be made to the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council or the Times Herald Old Newsboys.
