Loren J Lashbrook
June 5th, 1939 to November 18th, 2012
Loren “Jim” James Lashbrook, 73, of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, passed away on November 18, 2012 peacefully in the company of loved ones.
Jim was born in Port Huron on June 5, 1939 to Loren W. Lashbrook and Iva Martin.
He married Barbara Cote on August 7, 1993 and they were married for 19 years.
Jim served in the Navy for 4 years after high school. Later, he worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight Ways, retiring 10 years ago. Jim was a very creative problem solver and could fix anything. He enjoyed the outdoors, including boating and water sports. He also loved food and traveled extensively to find the best foods to experience.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Kevin (Alice) Lashbrook; daughter, Kelly Lashbrook (Walt); step-son, Russ Cote; step-daughter, Kim (Jason) Cote-Morin; grandchildren, Kristen, Zachary, Kailey, Riley and Walter; as well as other family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the COPD Foundation.
