Onalee Mae Welsh, 80, of Fort Gratiot, completed her life's journey on Monday, April 22, 2013 and went to join two of her sons, Bill and Larry in heaven. Her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by loved ones.
She was born December 10, 1932 in Caro, MI daughter of the late Henry and Erna (Pallaschke) Taylor.
Onalee married Robert W. “Rocky” Welsh on November 27, 1976 in Lakeport.
She was an active member of the North Street Baptist Church for many years. Onalee touched the lives of everyone's path she crossed and was loved by everyone that knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be forever missed and loved by all that knew her.
Onalee is survived by her husband of 36 years Robert W. “Rocky Welsh; sons, Claude “Ben” (Thelma “Snook”) Benjamin of Leesville, LA, Dennis “BJ” (Joann) Benjamin of Kileen, TX and George Benjamin (Suzie Q) of Clyde; daughters, Kim Schauermann (Ron) of Port Huron, Delores Keasling (Tim) of Port Huron and Charron Lee (Joe) of Gladstone, MI; grandchildren, David, Michelle, Tammi Lee, Amber Lynn, Bobby Lee, Scotty, Billy, Laura, Nicholas Jon, Tylor, Amanda, Ronnie, Courtney, Amy, Benny, Kaydo, Garrett, Cory, Toni, Dennis “Pee Wee” and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Erik, Alivia, Jordan, Courtney, Payton, Chloe, Colby, Carleigh, Avarie, Ramsey, Benjamin, Kimberly and Alayna; sisters, Midge, Sandy, Sharon, Pat and brother Bob and countless nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Larry and Bill Benjamin; 3 brothers, Tyke, Bill and Dick Taylor.
Memorial services will be 3pm Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Angry Bull Restaurant, Kimball. The Rev. Dave Smith will officiate.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice.
