Patricia Coats

M. Patricia Coats, 73, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 in her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born November 7, 1932 in Port Huron. She married Thomas H. Coats on November 26, 1955 in St. Edward Church. He died March 24, 1974. Pat was a member of St. Joseph Church. She was employed at the Times Herald working in the mail room until 1991. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Scott Patterson; daughter, Linda Coats and her special friend Kevin Davis; daughter, Karen Coats; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Trina Coats; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Robert D'Alessandro; daughter , Denise Coats and her fiance Leonard Brookins; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Donald Isaac; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Gary Bowman; grandchildren, Chad Coats, Tom Patterson, Anthony, Billy and Cole Bowman, Michael Isaac, Katie, Sara and Timothy Coats; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Laura Isaac and Nicole Brookins; brother and sister-in-law Bill and LaVerne Delaney; sisters, Cathy Weber, Teresa Bennett and Dorothy Sterling; sister-in-laws, Pat Delaney, Ella (Shirley) Curtis and Lois Coats; brother-in-laws, Dick (Karen) Coats and Tim Coats (Carol Ruck). She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marie Delaney; brother, Paul Delaney; mother-in-law, Iva Martin; brother-in-laws, Tony Weber, Bud Sterling, John Bonin, Joe Bennett and Max Coats; sister-in-law, Marie Delaney. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 Saturday and Sunday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Scott Patterson, Kevin Davis, Robert D'Alessandro, Leonard Brookins, Donald Isaac, Gary Bowman, Dan Sterling, Chad Coats and Tom Patterson. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church or Blue Water Hospice.
