Louise DiDuca
November 20th, 1914 to March 19th, 2006
Louise C. DiDuca, 91, a life long resident of the Port Huron area, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She was surrounded by the love and prayers of her family. Louise was born on November 20, 1914 in Amadore, Michigan to Clara Ross Burnham and the Honorable State Legislator Charles F. Burnham. As a young girl, she moved to Port Huron where she attended high school. On May 27, 1933 she married her beloved husband of 68 years, Albert A. DiDuca. Louise was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's Society of Port Huron. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, and the Mary Glade Guild of PIME Fathers. She was also a member of the Wadham's Lioness Club, The Loyal Star of America Auxiliary to B.R.C. of A., and the Port Huron Township Euchre Club. She is survived by her daughter, Antonia Marie Broughton of Placerville, California and son, Thomas Albert DiDuca and loving daughter-in-law Nancy of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Christina Hall; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert; her loving parents Charles and Clara Burnham; sisters Catherine Fenner, Margaret Remick, and Mary Burnham; brother Charles F. Burnham; foster brother Guy C. Barker; and grandson Howard Anthony Broughton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher, Pastor will officiate with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be Louise's grandchildren Bradley Thomas DiDuca, Jeanette Rodriguez DiDuca, Steven Albert DiDuca , Stacey Lyn DiDuca and Brian Angelo DiDuca. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Musical Program or the charity of the donor's choice.
