Margaret Eagen

Margaret R. Eagen, 94, of Marysville passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006. She was born on February 19, 1912 in Emmett to the late Michael and Margaret McInerny. Margaret married Martin J. Eagen. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1992. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Margaret and her late husband owned and operated Eagen's Service for more than 40 years. She loved bingo, playing cards and watching the Detroit Tigers. Margaret is survived by her special nephew, Jim Eagen of Marysville, sisters-in-law, Madeline (Francis) O'Connor of Marysville; Sister Mary Cecilia Eagen of Cincinnati, OH; Celestine Eagen of Marysville and Norma Eagen of Smiths Creek. Many other nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sister Rose Margaret McInerny and brother James McInerny. Funeral services are 12:30 p.m. Monday in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Rev Gerald Britz will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery. Visitation is today from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. this evening. Pallbearers will be Tim, Jim, Brian, Pat, and Kevin Eagen and Bernie Howard. Memorials in Margaret's memory are requested to the American Cancer Society.
