Kathryne Pruner

Kathryne A. Pruner, 89, of Port Huron, died Monday, July 17, 2006 in her home following a long illness. She was born January 3, 1917 in Detroit to the late Leo and Agnes Dupuis and had lived in the Blue Water area for the past 30 years. She married Richard S. Pruner on April 19, 1941 in Detroit. Kathryne was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed fine dining, traveling, theater, music, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband Richard S. Pruner; son, Douglas (Jan) Pruner of New Mexico; daughter, Louise McKinney of Westland; sons, Victor Pruner of Bloomfield Hills; Vincent Pruner of Livonia and daughter Martha (Bob) Wolfe of Macomb Township. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grand children also survive. Kathryne was preceded in death by daughters Aileen Cannon and Jeanie Graham. Funeral services are 11 am Friday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Robert E. Diehl will officiate. Visitation is 2 to 9 pm Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 10 am Friday at the church. Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials in Kathryne's memory may be given to the Alzheimers Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
