Julia 'Ruth' Toles

Julia "Ruth" Toles Port Huron - Julia "Ruth" Toles, 74, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in her home. She was born February 9, 1932 in Detroit and has lived in this area since 1950. She married William W. Toles, Jr. on July 8, 1950 in Dearborn. Ruth was employed at Peoples Bank of Port Huron for 23 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William W. Toles, Jr., daughters, Lynda (Jesse) Vallez of Saginaw, Mary (Steve) Jex of Lansing and Brenda (Syd) Ferguson of Sarnia; grandchildren, Mark and Brian (Amy) Collard, Matt and Alison Jex, Jodi and Josh Matts; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, George (Barbara) Rogers of Crystal Lake, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Ethel Rogers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Bakay will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark and Brian Collard, Matt Jex, Josh Matts, Jesse Vallez, Steve Jex and Syd Ferguson. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Port Huron Hospital Breathers Club or the American Lung Association.
