Levi Glenn

Levi F. Glenn, 69, of Fort Gratiot, died Sunday, November 19, 2006 in Port Huron Hospital after a long illness. He was born July 3, 1937 in Port Huron and was a lifelong resident. Levi married Suzanne K. Schelb July 27, 1963 in Augusta, MI. Levi was a 1956 graduate of Port Huron High School. He was a lifelong newspaper distributor for the Free Press and Times Herald. He was a life member and past president of the Port Huron Noon Optimist Club where he was "master chef" of their pre Mackinac Race Brat Sale, a member of L.O.O.M. #158 and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Levi is survived by his wife Suzanne, son, Michael R. (Jill) Glenn of Rochester, daughter, Denise L. (Jeff) Grattan of Port Huron and son, Steve K. (DeAnne) Glenn of Gurnee, IL; brothers, Claude O., Charles J. and Harold W. (Donna) Glenn, all of Fort Gratiot; grandchildren, Rachel, Trisha and Stephanie Grattan and Alex, Nick and Claire Glenn and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Shank Glenn, July 3, 1959. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Mary Ann Stackpoole will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting will be 7 to 9:00 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials in his memory may be made to Port Huron Noon Optimist Club or the American Heart Association.
