Jeffrey Haight

Jeffrey M. Haight, 45, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Port Huron, died suddenly Friday, December 8, 2006. He was born October 22, 1961 in Sarnia, Ontario and lived in Port Huron until 1986. Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School, a 1982 graduate of St. Clair County Community College and received his bachelors degree in Political Science from Oakland University in 1984. He has been employed since college with the Federal Government in security services. Currently he is attached to the U.S.A.F. at Wright Patterson A.F. Base, Dayton, OH. Prior to that he was attached to the U.S. Army 902nd Military Intelligence Group Division 308 MI Battalion, Co. A of Ft. Meade, MD located at the Warren Tank Plant, Warren, MI. In his positions he has worked all over the United States. Jeff was a parishioner of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Dayton. He enjoyed all sports especially coaching his son's baseball team. He was an avid golfer and University of Michigan fan and a Detroit Tiger supporter. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by all his friends. Jeff is survived by his son, Patrick of Dayton; his mother, Mary Lou Haight of Lexington, MI; brother, Frederick J. (Eileen) Haight of Burtchville; sister, LuAnn T. (Joseph) Crawford of Jeddo; fiancee, Lisa Seibold-Koster of Ann Arbor, MI and his nieces and nephews, Sarah and Joshua Haight and Dale, Rachel and Olivia Crawford. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Haight. His funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday from St. Edward-on-the-Lake Catholic Church, Lakeport. The Rev. Joseph M. Esper, Pastor, will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and at church Thursday at 9:00 a.m. A Scripture Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A Memorial Mass for Jeff will be held at 12 Noon Friday, December 15, 2006 at St. Albert the Great Church, Centerville, OH. Memorials in Jeff's memory may be made to St. Edward's Church or the American Heart Association.
