Anna Seefried

Anna E. Seefried, 81, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in her home with her family by her side. She was born June 24, 1925 in Emmett, daughter of the late John and Nellie (Jackson) Brandon. Anna married Richard J. Seefried on August 21, 1945 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Emmett. Anna was a former employee of Michigan National Bank. In 1988 she retired as office manager with the Port Huron Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and Habitat for Humanity. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling out west, gardening and was an excellent cook. Anna was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Seefried of Port Huron; daughter, Susan M. Boughner of Port Huron; son, Richard J. (Julianne) Seefried, Jr of Port Huron; daughter, Sally A. (Louis) Dubay of Smiths Creek; daughter, Judy L. Dalton of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Jennifer Dyer, Dave Boughner, Angela Duncan, Christopher and Andrew Seefried, Sara Dubay and Charles Dalton IV; 14 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Peter and Paul Dubay, sisters, Madelyn (Raymond) Walters of Sterling Heights and Maryella Urban of Port Huron. Anna was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Brandon and grandson Michael R. Dubay. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday evening. Anna's grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers. Memorials in memory of Anna may be given to the Mid City Nutrition Center.
