Kathleen Corbett

Kathleen M. Corbett Port Huron - Kathleen M. Corbett, R.N., 72, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in her home. She was born July 9, 1935 in Olean, New York. She married William J. Corbett on September 15, 1956. Mrs. Corbett was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln Park High School, graduating with honors. She later attended Henry Ford Community College graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in nursing. She began her nursing career at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital. She helped open and manage many medical offices connected with St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was an outstanding nurse. Her career and her family were very important to her. She is survived by her husband, William J. Corbett; son, Shawn Michael (Michelle) Corbett of Wadsworth, IL; daughter, Kelly Ann Corbett, R.N. of Roseville, MI; brother-in-law, William Bowdy of Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Valerie Ann, William, Matthew, Mary Kay and Bruce, all of Kentucky and her cousin, Karen McPhee of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Ann Bowdy. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice.
