Joseph Clyde Warren

Joseph Clyde Warren, 88, of Marysville but formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, November 5, 2007 in Marwood Nursing and Rehab after a short illness. He was born September 29, 1919 in Copper City, Michigan and lived in this area most of his life. Clyde married Marjorie J. Nelson September 7, 1946 in Port Huron. He was a graduate of Port Huron High School. Clyde was a Naval veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific and the Philippines. He also saw action in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Plumbers Local for 65 years; a member of Charles Hammond Post #8, American Legion, Charles Schoor Post #796, V.F.W. and L.O.O.M. #158. Clyde was a life long member of St. Joseph Church and a devoted family man. He coached minor hockey and was a member of the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association. He loved gardening and organizing games for his Florida community friends. Clyde is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Geri (Dan) Petruk of Cape Coral, FL; sons, Michael (Debby) Warren of Tarpon Springs, Fl and Patrick (Kathy) Warren of N. Ft. Myers, Fl and daughter, Anna (Dave) Watson of Marysville; grandchildren, Kim (Dave) Howard, Sacha (Lee) Chojnacki, Laura Warren and Jason, Jeremy and Katlin Watson; great grandsons, Dalton Howard and Zander Chojnacki and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Warren and his sisters, Louise Welch and Ruth Warner. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher, Pastor, will preside. Military honors will be under auspices of St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. Visitation will be 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
