Veronica C. Wheelihan Port Huron - Veronica C. "Nana" Wheelihan, 55, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 in Mt Clemens General Hospital following a courageous battle with a rare illness. She was born February 29, 1952 in Port Huron. Veronica worked at FedEx Trade Network. She loved driving and taking road trips. She loved swimming and watching boats on the water. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and reading. She was the most loving and caring person, she enjoyed life and loved people. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Bobbie Sue) Miron and Corey Miron, both of Port Huron; grandchildren, Brent, Dylan and Chloe; sisters, Mary Ann (Charles) Tetreau and Maxine K. Gwisdala; brother, Charles (Kathleen) Wheelihan; sister Teresa M. Bennett; brother, Harold (Christine) Wheelihan; many nieces and nephews including special nieces, Joanne Sischo and Kathy Gwisdala and her "bestest" friend, Marie Gossman. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Erma Wheelihan; brother James J. Wheelihan and brother-in-law, Joseph Gwisdala. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber will officiate. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 Monday at the funeral home.
