Mark Johnson

Mark L. Johnson, 49, of Ft. Gratiot, died suddenly Sunday, January 6, 2008. He was born June 5, 1958 in Kalamazoo but lived most of his life in this area. Mark was a 1976 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. He was employed 24 years with Dunn Paper co and its predecessors. Mark was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda M. (Stephen) Taylor, son, Jordan M. Johnson and granddaughter, Arwen C. Taylor, all of Ft. Gratiot; mother, L. Marilyn (Royce) Miller of South Bend, IN; sister, Deborah (Thomas) Poley of Willis, MI, brother, Michael W. (Lori) Johnson of Ft. Gratiot and two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis T. Johnson. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Doerzbacher, Pastor of Our Saviour Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Ft. Gratiot. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 7 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
