Marilyn Kraft

Marilyn J. Kraft, 74, of Fort Gratiot died Thursday, January, 31, 2008 in her home following a short illness. She was born January 2, 1934 in Detroit and has lived here for the past 36 years. Marilyn married Valery F. Kraft on June 11, 1955 in Grosse Pointe Farms. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the L.O.O.K. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and going to the casino. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Valery F. of Fort Gratiot; daughter, Cheryl (Larry) Herbon of Casco; son, Jerry (Julie) Kraft of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Brian Herbon, Michael (Kelly) Herbon, Jacquelyn and Ian Kraft and her sister Dorothy Robinson. She was preceded in death by her son David B. Kraft. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Marilyn may be given to St. Mary's Church Building Fund, Blue Water Hospice or Port Huron Hospital Foundation.
