Keith A Thornton Sr
October 3rd, 1925 to October 13th, 2014
Keith A. Thornton, 89, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at Blue Water Hospice Home after a long and fruitful life.
He was born October 3, 1925 in Argyle, MI to Beatrice and Clarence Thornton. He married Lillian Anna Langolf on November 2, 1946 in St. Paul Lutheran Church . She died November 16, 2007.
Keith and Lillian raised 4 children, Alexis Linder, Thomas C. (Nancy) Thornton, Keith A. (Debi Jean) Thornton, Jr and Tina S. (Dennis) Smith. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jane Thornton Falk and his grandson, Christian A. Smith.
Keith was a union ironworker for many years. Upon his retirement, he especially loved studying the numerous boats that ply the Great Lakes and was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge.
As per his wishes, interment will be Friday at Lakeside Cemetery following a brief service at the cemetery chapel at 1:00 p.m.. Pastor Don Doerzbacher will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation
