Harold John Campau, 83, passed away
Thursday, April 9, 2009 after a long illness.
He was born December 7, 1925 in
Detroit to Dahlia and Arthur Campau. He married Verna Butler on June
18, 1948 in Carsonville. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet during WWII. He
retired from Mueller Brass Co. in 1988 after 42 years of service.
Harold was an avid gardener and a huge baseball fan. He spent many
years as a manager for his son's Little League teams.
Harold will be deeply missed by his
wife of over 60 years, Verna; his daughter, Joann (Hedger); sons,
Wayne (Linda), Dennis (Jane), John (Rosemary), Steven (Jeanne) and
Brian. Also missing his laughter will be his 15 grandchildren and 8
great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 4-8
p.m. Monday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campau requests that donations be
made to the Salvation Army.
