Gertrude R Anger

Gertrude Rose Hebert Anger found peace on May 25, 2015, just months before her 100th birthday. She had lived in the Port Huron area for more than 70 years before moving to Brighton in 2011, where she resided at the time of her death. Gertrude was born in Port Austin on December 16, 1915, to Joseph Hebert and Delia Lambert. She moved to Port Huron in the late 1930s, where she met Everett Anger; they wed on August 26, 1939. Their union of 50 years ended with Everett’s death in 1990. They had three children: Thomas, James, and Patricia Anger.
In addition to her husband and parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her seven brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, almost-sixteen great-grandchildren, and spouses and partner: son Thomas and his wife Nancy (Malone) Anger of Austin, Texas; Thomas and Nancy’s son Matthew Anger, his wife Mary Jo (McChesney), and their children Justin, Stefan, Marie, Nicholas, Juliana, Alexandra, Charlotte, Natalie, Joshua, and Conrad Anger, all of Chester, Virginia; Thomas and Nancy’s daughter Cory Anger, her husband Richard Frear, and their children Trey and Anna Frear, all of Maplewood, New Jersey; son James and his wife Gayle (Cesefske) Anger of Port Huron; daughter Patricia Anger and her partner David Nagy of Hamburg Township; Patricia’s son William Anger and his wife Ruth Ann McCarthy of Austin; Patricia’s daughter Michelle, her husband Douglas Domas, and their children Jason and Brandon Domas, all of Canton; Patricia’s son Joseph Houser, his wife Heather (Frazier), and their children Hannah and soon-to-arrive baby Houser, all of Aurora, Colorado.
Gertrude also is survived by dozens of nieces and nephews and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, Port Huron, on May 30. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fort Gratiot. Deacon Dennis Crimmins of Holy Trinity Parish officiated.
