Margaret McFarland

Margaret Mary McFarland, 91, formerly of Port Huron, died peacefully of natural causes Sunday, May 31, 2015, in Mountainside NJ.

Margaret was born August 1, 1923 in Yale to George and Edith Young, where she was raised with her brother, Ed. She married Watson L. Major in Port Huron and had two sons, Michael and Timothy. Mr. Major preceded her in death. She later married F. Bruce McFarland, he also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Timothy G. (Denise Krell) Major; and grandson, Damon Major. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael.

Margaret lived a full life with no regrets. She shared her time and possessions generously with many organizations and would like for you to do the same. Donations may be made to a cause in which you believe.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A short prayer service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Deacon John Connors will officiate.
