Dorothy Symon

Dorothy M. Symon, 86, passed away

Sunday, October 25, 2009, in Port Huron Hospital surrounded by

family.

She was born March 5, 1923 in Sioux

City, Iowa to the late Charles and Mabel Stewart. She married

Richard E. Symon on March 21, 1940. He died October 14, 1983.

Dorothy and her husband Richard owned

local businesses, Blue Water Billiards and Weenie Land. She retired

from Port Huron Hospital.

Dorothy is survived by six children,

Richard (Karen) Symon, Daniel Symon, Debra Caris, Lynn Washburn,

Cheryl Symon and Charles (Beth) Symon; 11 grandchildren; 8 great

grandchildren a 1 great-great grandchild.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by

her son, Dean Symon and her sister, Bonnie Stewart.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m.

Wednesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt.

Hope Cemetery. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral

home.
