Emma M Hanselman
Emma Marie Hanselman, 86, of Fort Gratiot, died Monday, September 26, 2016.
She was born May 17, 1930 in White Rock, Michigan to the late Max and Helen Riedel. She married Earl Hanselman on August 27, 1949 in Forestville, Michigan. He died January 3, 2008.
Mrs. Hanselman worked in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn prior to her retirement. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active with the St. Clair County Council on Aging. She enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, listening to oldies and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Mike) Gossman; three sons, Ricky (Margaret) Hanselman, Dennis (Judy) Hanselman and Lloyd (Becky) Hanselman; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Justin) Glyshaw, Shad (Kate) Hanselman, Shawn (Michelle) Hanselman, Megan (Chris) Siemen, Earl (Stephanie) Hanselman, Michael Gossman and Matthew Gossman; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen (Sherman) Miller and Joyce (Mike) Wrubel; four brothers, Robert (Shirley) Riedel, Richard (Terry) Riedel, Warren (Diane) Riedel and Larry Riedel; and many nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Hanselman; a brother, Dale Riedel; and a sister-in-law, Launa Riedel.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 in St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Reverend Bonnie Klos will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Shawn and Earl Hanselman, Michael Gossman, Justin Glyshaw and Chris Siemen.
