Dan Bradley
August 14th, 1919 to January 2nd, 2010
Dan Fox Bradley, 90, of Port Huron, MI,
died Saturday, January 2, 2010. Preceded in death
by his dearest wife, Marjorie Payne Bradley; by parents William P.
Bradley and Fidelis Fox Bradley; and by brothers William P. Bradley,
Jr., and Msgr. John Fox Bradley.
Born in Detroit, MI, he graduated from the University of Notre
Dame (1941) and married Marjorie Payne (1946). He served as a
Marine Air Corps Pilot and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant
Colonel and awarded with two Purple Hearts.
Dan was a longtime resident of Fairview Park, Ohio and
District Manager of the Plastics and Resins Division of Shell
Chemical Company, in Cleveland, Ohio. He retired to Port Huron,
MI, in 1985 where he was active at St. Marys Church. He was a
tireless volunteer with the Michigan Right to Life Society and a
Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.
Loving father of Kathleen OBryan (Clifford), Patricia
Payne Bradley, Dan Fox Bradley , Jr. (Elise), Michael Payne Modic
Bradley (Kate), Maryellen Fidelis Payne Bradley-Gilbert (Bruce).
Father by love to Bonnie Broeman Carpenter. Devoted
grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Youd never meet a more generous man nor a better friend than Dan.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Marys Church. The
Rev. Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt.
Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at Karrer-Simpson
Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service time at
church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Mercy-Marydale or the Michigan Right to Life Society.
