John Edward Netter

John Edward Ed Netter, 75, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010.
Ed was born on February 3, 1935 in Port Huron to John Delton and Marie Powers Netter.
He graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1953. After proudly serving in the the U.S. Army in Germany, he worked for the Chrysler Corporation. Ed lived an active life and played a good game of golf. He also enjoyed walking and biking. He had a kind heart and a quick wit enjoyed by all. Ed loved his nieces and nephews and drew much enjoyment from them and their children.
Ed is survived by his brothers, William (Doris), James (Barbara) and his sister, Joan (Larry) Nelson; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy and nephew, Lawrence J. Nelson III.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be 11 am. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron. Visitation will be from 10 am. until the service time at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-City Nutrition or the charity of the donor's choice.
Ed's family extends their gratitude to the special personalized care Ed received at Marwood Nursing and Rehab and the Harrrington Inn.
