Ty Jeffrey Bassett

Tyrone Jeffrey Bassett, 72, of Port Huron, died Sunday, January 3, 2021.

He was born February 24, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Elmer and Audrey Bassett. He was the oldest of 5 children.

Ty was a graduate of Port Huron Catholic High School. He worked for and retired from USPS. Ty was an avid hockey fan and loved watching the Flyers and the Red Wings. But nothing brought him more joy then spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Scott (Shauna) Bassett and Kurt Bassett; two grandchildren, Jack and Claire Bassett; and two sisters, Christine (Bryan) Kalbfleisch of Brown City and Kimberly Bassett of Port Huron. He was preceded in death by two siblings, David and Dee Ann Bassett.

Cremation has taken place.

Inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
