Veronica "Roni" Aldrich
Veronica “Roni” Aldrich, 77, of Memphis, passed into Eternal Life Sunday, May 9, 2021.
She was born March 1, 1944 in Wales Township to the late Joseph and Rosemary Chevalier. She married Ronald Fraelich in 1960 and their daughter, Rosemary “Mary” was born in 1961.
Roni was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ray, Michigan. Family, friends and her Church were her greatest joys. She was generous and loving and lived life to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary (Mark) Stapleton; grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) Stapleton and Weston (Jill) Stapleton; great grandchildren, Skylar, Logan, Addison, Elijah, Lydia, Amelia, Cai and Everly; brother, John (Linda) Chevalier; sisters, Theresa Gaudet, Evette Fink, Annette (Russell) Jackson; lifelong dear friend, Janet Smith; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles Aldrich; brother, Joseph Jr.; brother-in-law, Terry Fink and Ronald Gaudet; nephew, Greg Gaudet; and great nieces, Tammy Jackson and Anastasia Amesse.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the comfort and safety of others.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 57575 Romeo Plank Road, Ray Township, MI 48096. The Reverend William Kimball will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
