Joseph H. Cartwright, 87 of Kimball, formerly of Warren, died Monday, April 9, 2012.
He was born June 27, 1924 in Royal Oak and has lived here for the past 12 years.
Joseph married the former Marie Gillis. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2008.
He worked as a Quality Control Inspector for 25 years at Chrysler Corporation and served in the Merchant Marines for 7 years. Joseph was an avid Detroit Tiger and U of M Football fan. He was a member of the Eagles in Eastpointe and loved camping and partying with his family.
Joseph is survived by his cousin, Maureen of London, England; brother-in-law, John (Martha) Gillis of Holly, MI; brother-in-law, Ernie (Sefi) Gillies of Lexington; special niece, Anna (Gordon) Dove of Clinton Twp and other nieces and nephews.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11am Saturday in St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens. The Rev. Daniel O'Sullivan will officiate. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
Visitation will be 10:30am Saturday at the church.
Memorials in memory of Joseph may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
