Richard Thomas “Dick” “Sully” Sullivan, 94, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in Apache Junction, AZ. He was born December 26, 1930 in Port Huron. He married Muriel C. Hanson on August 25, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2015 after 59 years of marriage. Richard graduated from St. Stephen Catholic High School before serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Elkhart University Dental Tech School and later owned and operated R.T. Sullivan Dental Lab for 64 years. Richard was a member of Holy Trinity Parish-St. Joseph Church and was also involved in several local organizations for many years. He was a 68-year member of B.P.O.E Lodge #343 and a member of the American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8, Moose Lodge #158 and the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends and working in the dental lab. He is survived by three children, Tricia (Mark) Sullivan-Ford, John (Debbie) Sullivan and Colleen (Chris Biggs) Guilliat; six grandchildren, Molly (Jordan) Moncrief, Matt (Nicole) Ford, Abbey Guilliat, Ben Guilliat, Emma Sullivan and Jack Sullivan; brother, Thomas (Carol) Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann; father, William H. Sullivan; mother and stepfather, Marguerite and William Ricketts; and four sisters, Patricia Harris, Margaret Short, Agnes Myron and Catherine Lounsberry. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. An Elks Lodge of Sorrow will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
