Catherine Browne

Catherine M. Siefert-Browne, 89, of Ft. Gratiot died August 28, 2012 in the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville following a short illness.
She was born March 26, 1923 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Bartels) Siefert. She married Robert A. Browne in 1943 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1972.
Catherine retired from North American Benefit Association in 1975. She was a member of First Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star where she played the piano. She loved knitting, crocheting, and was a seamstress from many years. She loved animals, especially her dogs.
She is survived by cousins and many special friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her brother, Harold H. Siefert.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, September 1, 2012 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pastor Johnnie Johnson of Crossroad Christian Center will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
Visiting hours are from 4-9 pm Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials for Catherine may be made to the Crossroad Christian Center or the Blue Water Hospice Home.
