James Tanton
May 29th, 1941 to February 8th, 2013
James Arthur Tanton, 71, of Port Huron passed away February 8, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born May 29, 1941 in Port Huron Township.
Jim worked as a chef at the Fogcutter Restaurant, Jefferson Colonnade and Crystal Gardens in Mt. Clemens. He moved to Indianapolis and catered many high profile sporting events including the Indy 500, Brickyard 400 and the Masters Golf Tournament. Jim adored his grandchildren more than anything else.
He is survived by his daughter, Cherie Patterson; sons, James A. (Trina) Tanton, II and Aaron (Sara) Tanton; grandchildren, Alicia, Lydia, Abigail, Alexis and Mariah; great grandson, Landon.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
