Larry G Ter Bush

Larry G. Ter Bush, 65, of Kenockee Twp. died Monday, April 1, 2013 in Regency on the Lake.
He was born December 31, 1947 in Alliance, OH and has lived in the area since 1960.
Upon graduation from high school, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam in the 82nd Airborne Division. During his enlistment he received many decorations including the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster) and the Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star.
He also worked for Michigan National Bank in Port Huron for many years and most recently was Assistant State Service Officer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a two time past Commander of the Charles Schoor VFW Post #796 and was also a life member. He was an avid hunter and a war historian. Larry was a wonderful brother to his four siblings.
Larry is survived by his sisters, Bonita (Robert) Gainor of Sandusky, Marcella (Ray) Borowski of Port Huron Twp., Arlene M. Krause of Kenockee Twp.; brother, Mark (Marilyn) Ter Bush of Mesa, AZ; uncle, James W. Connors of Washington, D.C. and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry G. Ter Bush II, parents, Arnault W. and Ila E. Ter Bush, nephew, Jason M. Gladwish and niece Ailie Pearson.
Larry will be laid to rest alongside his father, M/Sgt. Arnault W. Ter Bush, U.S. Army (ret.) at the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Cemetery on the corner of Gratiot and Krafft Rd. There will be a graveside memorial service honoring Larry's life and service to his country with full military honors at 11am Saturday, April 6, 2013. Everyone is welcome to attend.
